At the moment, Leo Neo, who was injured in an attack by drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on a zoo in the frontline Vasilevka, Zaporizhia region, has not been found to have internal injuries. This was announced on December 15 by Alexander Pylyshenko, head of the Vasilyevsky Rehabilitation Center for large predators.

"So far, we have determined that these are only incised wounds, that is, penetrating. There were many split wounds. There was a lot of blood. But the animal received the main blow from the blast wave, that is, it was thrown against the wall," TASS quoted him as saying.

According to him, the animal is currently undergoing treatment for external incised wounds caused by shrapnel. He also added that, according to preliminary estimates, the predator probably has no serious internal injuries.

Pylyshenko noted that Lev is receiving all the necessary veterinary care.
