Yuzhno-Kurilsk was left without electricity as a result of a powerful cyclone
As a result of the collapse of a powerful cyclone and wind gusts of up to 35 m/s, Yuzhno-Kurilsk was de-energized. This was announced on December 15 by the administration of the South Kurilsky Municipal District in the Telegram channel.
"Damage to the power line was recorded, and therefore consumers were de-energized before emergency recovery work was carried out," the statement said.
Damage to the roof and facade of apartment buildings is also reported. The opportunity to carry out restoration work will appear only after the weather conditions improve.
A day earlier, 20 horticultural non-profit partnerships and real estate owners were left without electricity in Sevastopol. Power engineers have already started work on restoration.
On the same day, strong winds damaged power lines in 205 settlements in the Saratov region. 59 brigades were working to fix the problems, said Roman Busargin, the governor of the region.
