In December 2025, pensioners will be able to receive a number of allowances and payments. Ekaterina Stenyakina, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, spoke about the relevant support measures.
"The last month of the current year has arrived. Firstly, those pensioners who turned 80 in November will receive an indefinite allowance. Starting in December, they will receive a double fixed payment of 17,815.4 rubles. Their pension will be increased in an undeclared manner," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
It should be borne in mind that these support measures apply exclusively to recipients of an insurance pension.
Also, at the end of 2025, Russians will be able to receive two insurance pension payments at once.
"The first one will be paid at the beginning of the month, and the second one at the end. Those who receive a pension in the first 11 days of the month can count on an additional payment," the parliamentarian explained the procedure.
This is due to technical reasons due to the loss of the payment date during the New Year holidays.
"The New Year holidays will last from December 31 to January 11, when banks and branches of the Social Fund are closed. In order not to move the payment date of the "January" pensions to a later date, the government decided to pay these amounts ahead of schedule," the deputy said.
On December 13, the head of the Federation Council Committee on Social policy, Elena Perminova, spoke about ways to increase the size of the old-age pension. She explained that when applying for a pension a year or more after becoming eligible for it, a system of premium coefficients is applied. According to her, for each year of deferral, both the fixed payment and the insurance part of the pension increase, which "significantly improves the financial situation."
