The perpetrators of the terrorist attack in Sydney turned out to be a father and son
The perpetrators of the terrorist attack in Sydney, which killed 16 people, were relatives — a father and son aged 50 and 24, respectively. This became known during a press conference organized by the Australian authorities after the shooting on Bondi Beach.
"The perpetrators are men aged 50 and 24, father and son. A 50—year-old man has died. A 24-year—old man is currently in hospital," said Police Commissioner Mol Lanyon.
The official noted that the senior terrorist owned weapons legally. Six firearms licenses were issued for him, and the same number of units were found at the crime scene and during a search at their address.
