A Russian woman was injured during a terrorist attack on Bondai Beach in Sydney, where the celebration of the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah was taking place. This was reported by RT on December 14, citing acquaintances of the victim.

"She came to Bondai Beach for a holiday. The first day of Hanukkah was celebrated there. There were a lot of Jews there, a lot of Russian speakers," they told RT.

According to friends, the woman was shot in the arm. The victim informed them that there were a lot of injured, but her life is not in danger now, and she is in the hospital.

On December 14, criminals opened fire on people near Bondi Beach in Sydney during an event dedicated to the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah. As a result of the incident, 12 people were killed and 29 others were injured. One of the armed criminals was shot dead, and the second was treated. The third attacker surrendered to the police.

After the shooting in Sydney, Israeli President Yitzhak Herzog called on the Australian government to take measures to combat the wave of anti-Semitism. In turn, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said he was shocked by what happened at the celebration of the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah in Sydney, and called it the result of "rampant anti-Semitism" in Australia.
