The number of calls to the direct line with Russian President Vladimir Putin has exceeded 1.2 million. This was announced on December 14 by Izvestia correspondent Elena Khmura.

"Applications are being received continuously from all Russian regions. The task is to process each call carefully, but at the same time promptly, so that each caller has the opportunity to ask his question to the President of Russia," she said.

You can ask a question on a direct line through social networks, an application, an Internet site, the MAX messenger, SMS or MMS. However, it is phone calls that remain the most popular method from year to year. You can communicate with the call center operator not only by voice, but also by video.

Most of the questions are about social policy, infrastructure and housing. This year, people are also often asked about neural networks.

"For example, the applicant from Moscow, Maria, draws attention to the fact that children have begun to massively use artificial intelligence in homework preparation," said Alla Vertinskaya, head of the regional executive committee of the Popular Front in the Republic of Crimea.

So that everyone can ask their question to the president, the platforms for receiving appeals will continue to operate around the clock.

As Dmitry Mitin, coordinator of the Popular Front, said on December 14, the staff of the call center, which receives questions on a direct line, work in three shifts, changing every two hours. According to operator Sofia Iskayeva, on average, it takes from 10 to 15 minutes for operators to have a conversation with a citizen.

Alyona Stemparzhevskaya, an expert on artificial intelligence at Sberbank, reported on December 13 that the largest number of calls to the upcoming direct line of Russian President Vladimir Putin comes from Moscow, St. Petersburg and the Krasnodar Territory. On December 12, it was reported that the number of citizens contacting Putin's direct line exceeded 1 million.
