The media revealed the identity of the man who defused the attacker in Sydney

The passerby who took the weapon from one of the terrorists during the attack in Sydney was the owner of a fruit store, Ahmed Al-Ahmed. This was reported on December 14 by the Australian channel 7News with reference to the man's cousin Mustafa.

According to Mustafa, Ahmed received two bullet wounds and is in the hospital.
