The former deputy director of the Russian Museum, Evgenia Petrova, has died.
Evgenia Petrova, the former Deputy Director General of the Russian Museum for Scientific Work, died in St. Petersburg at the age of 80. This was announced on December 14 by the museum's press service.
"After a serious illness, Evgenia Nikolaevna Petrova, an outstanding Russian art critic, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Candidate of Art History, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts, died at the age of 80," the institution's Telegram channel said.
Petrova has been working at the Russian Museum since 1966, most recently serving as the chief expert in scientific publishing.
