After the incident in Saratov, where there was a pop of household gas in an apartment building on Ladozhskaya Street, a criminal case was opened. This was announced on December 14 by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation in the Saratov region.

"A criminal case has been opened into the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements in connection with the popping of household gas in an apartment building (Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)," the agency's Telegram channel says.

Investigators are working at the scene of the emergency. The Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Saratov region clarifies that the pop of the gas-air mixture occurred on the ninth floor of a 10-storey building. The building structures were not damaged during the emergency, but the windows in several apartments were broken. A 27-year-old man injured in the explosion was hospitalized in serious condition.
