Police have arrested a suspect in the shooting at Brown University

Providence police in Rhode Island have arrested a man suspected of being involved in the shooting at Brown University. This was reported on December 14 on the police page on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

"A person of interest to the investigation has been detained, and the recommendation to stay in their places is canceled," the message says.

The identity of the suspect and the circumstances of his detention have not been clarified.

The shooting at Brown University became known on December 13. According to CNN, at least two students were killed and nine others were injured in the attack.
