A gas explosion occurred in a residential building in Saratov, according to preliminary data, there is a victim as a result, law enforcement agencies reported on December 14.

"According to preliminary data, a gas explosion occurred in one of the houses on Ladozhskaya Street in Saratov, and one person was injured," the source quoted TASS as saying.

It is noted that the injured man was hospitalized. Operational services are working at the scene of the emergency.

On December 11, four people, including a child, were injured in a gas explosion in the Volgograd region. The authorities noted that one woman is in intensive care in serious condition. 48 residents were evacuated. The investigation revealed that domestic gas had been depressurized in one of the apartments on Lenin Street, which led to a pop and partial collapse of the inter-apartment ceilings.
