Goncharenko will lead the Belarusian national football team
Coach Viktor Goncharenko has agreed a contract with the Belarusian national team and will lead the national team until the end of 2027. This was announced on December 14 by journalist Ivan Karpov.
"Goncharenko is the new coach of the Belarusian national team: the former coach of CSKA, Krasnodar, Nizhny Novgorod and the Urals has agreed a contract with ABFF until December 2027," Karpov wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to Karpov, the 48-year-old specialist will sign a contract after December 20, when he returns from vacation. His long-time colleague Alexander Ermakovich will join the coaching staff. Goncharenko will replace Spaniard Ferrer, who has led the national team for the past few years. Previously, the specialist worked with CSKA, Krasnodar, Nizhny Novgorod and Ural.
On December 7, Khasanbi Bijiyev resigned from the post of head coach of FC Dynamo. Prior to that, the 59-year-old Russian was the head of Spartak (Nalchik), Rotor and Kursk Avangard.
