Ovechkin beat Jagr in points for the most time in the NHL

On December 13, Russian Washington Capitals forward Alexander Ovechkin rose to a clean tenth place in the history of the National Hockey League (NHL) championships in terms of the number of points scored in the majority.

Thanks to Ovechkin's assist in the match against Winnipeg, the striker reached the mark of 611 points (328 goals and 283 assists) in most games in the regular NHL championships, surpassing Czech hockey player Jaromir Jagr in this indicator.

The record for the most points belongs to Canadian Wayne Gretzky (890 points).

Earlier in the day, it was reported that the Washington Capitals failed to win an away match of the NHL regular season, losing to HC Winnipeg with a score of 1:5. Logan Stanley, Morgan Barron, Alex Iafallo and Gabriel Vilardi scored goals for the hosts of the ice, the Winnipeg Hockey Club, who scored twice.
