The economist predicted the weakening of the influence of the European Union by 2030
By 2030, the European Union (EU) will cease to be a subject of world politics and will represent a militarized and weakened community. This was announced on December 14 in the report "Strategic forecast — Europe on the verge of crisis: the new reality of 2026-2030." Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor of RANEPA Nikolay Gaponenko.
"By 2030, the European Union will exist as an amorphous, conflictual space with weakened supranational institutions. "Strategic autonomy" will turn into an empty phrase," TASS quotes a fragment of the document.
According to the expert, the idea of a "united Europe from Lisbon to Vladivostok" by 2030 will not be able to withstand the reality of an economically weakened and militarized continent. Gaponenko states that in the future Europe will transform from a subject into an object of world politics.
"Her foreign policy will be increasingly synchronized with Washington, depriving Brussels and key capitals of independence. The impact on global processes in Africa, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region (APR) will decrease dramatically," the author of the report said.
On November 28, Russian Ambassador to Belgium Denis Gonchar noted that NATO's actions had led to the bankruptcy of the Euro-Atlantic security system and to the most serious crisis since the Second World War.
On March 19, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban warned the EU of an "imminent collapse" if the liberals were not removed from power in the union. The Hungarian leader also pointed to the interference in the internal affairs of other states by various funds funded by American billionaire George Soros.
