"The United States has sent two F-16 fighter jets over Palmyra," the publication says.
Earlier in the day, two US Army soldiers and one civilian translator were killed in Syria in Palmyra during an operation against the Islamic State (IS, an organization recognized as a terrorist organization and banned in the Russian Federation). The attack on American and Syrian soldiers in Palmyra was reported by Syria TV on the same day.
After the incident, US President Donald Trump promised to take retaliatory actions against the militants.
