Fox News reported the first case of deadly silicosis in a worker in the United States.

A worker in the US state of Massachusetts has recorded the first case of an incurable lung disease — silicosis. This was reported on December 13 by the Fox News channel.

"The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has announced that a 40-year—old man who has worked in the manufacture of stone countertops for 14 years has recently been diagnosed with silicosis, a deadly condition," the material says.

It is noted that the disease often occurs due to working with quartz. The patient was engaged in cutting, grinding and polishing at the factory.
