The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation has decided to recognize the broadcaster as an undesirable organization. Piskarev noted that the commission welcomes the decision of the Russian Prosecutor General's Office. After the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation has added any cooperation with the German media to the list of relevant organizations, it will be considered a violation of the law.

"DW is at the forefront of hostile anti—Russian propaganda and has repeatedly been the subject of critical evaluation by the commission following the monitoring of its provocative publications, especially during the electoral period," the parliamentarian said on the commission's Telegram channel.
