Zakharova ironically commented on the EU recommendations on cooperation with Russia
On December 13, Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, commenting on the recommendations of the European External Relations Service (EEAS) on cooperation with Russian diplomats, ironically advised the European Commission (EC) to "fly off the planet as long as the Russians remain on it."
"Well, the 20th package of Russophobic sanctions cannot do without a statement that the European Commission is leaving the planet as long as Russians remain on it. We have a rocket," she wrote on her Telegram channel.
Zakharova called the ECHR recommendations themselves half-measures, ironically adding that the continuation of such a policy, in addition to the EC's flight, could be the withdrawal of the European Union (EU) from the United Nations (UN), since Russia is a member of it.
Earlier that day, it was reported that the European Union had sent "instructions on communicating with Russian diplomats" to the permanent missions of the countries to the UN in Geneva. The document contains recommendations to avoid events with the participation of Russian diplomats, and if present, not to be caught on camera with them.
