A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. In response to Ukraine's terrorist attacks on civilian targets in Russia, last night the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched a massive strike with high-precision land- and sea-based weapons, aeroballistic hypersonic Kinzhal missiles and long-range unmanned aerial vehicles against enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine and energy facilities that ensure their operation. The objectives of the strike have been achieved. All designated objects are affected.

The North group of troops defeated the manpower and equipment of the jaeger brigade and the assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the area of the settlement of Andreevka, Sumy region. In the Kharkov direction, formations of the mechanized brigade and the assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Verkhny Saltov, Ternovaya and Izbitskoye in the Kharkiv region. The enemy's losses amounted to up to 200 military personnel, an armored combat vehicle, two field artillery guns, four vehicles and an electronic warfare station. Two ammunition depots were destroyed.

"Units of the Zapad group of forces defeated the manpower and equipment of two mechanized assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard brigade in the areas of Kupyansk-Uzlovaya, Podoly, Kharkiv region, Drobyshevo and Krasny Liman of the Donetsk People's Republic. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 220 soldiers, two tanks, three armored combat vehicles, 11 vehicles, a 155 mm Paladin self—propelled artillery system manufactured in the United States and seven ammunition depots," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

Units of the Center group of forces continued the destruction of the encircled formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the residential districts of the Eastern and Western cities of Dimitrov, as well as the cleansing of the settlements of Svetloye and Grishino of the DPR. In total, the enemy lost over 480 soldiers, three tanks, four armored combat vehicles and three vehicles in this area.

The Russian army, with the help of aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missiles and artillery, defeated Ukrainian port infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ammunition depots, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 142 areas. In turn, air defense systems shot down two HIMARS multiple rocket launchers manufactured in the United States and 169 aircraft-type drones.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have lost 669 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 102,347 UAVs, 639 anti-aircraft missile systems, 26,524 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,630 multiple rocket launchers, 31,872 field artillery and mortars, 48,940 units of special military vehicles.
