The director and chief engineer of the November branch of Surgut airport were detained on charges of accepting a bribe in the amount of 1 million rubles. This was announced on December 13 by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District in its Telegram channel.

"According to the investigation, in November of this year, the defendants extorted money from the head of a commercial organization with whom they had signed a contract for emergency repairs of heat supply networks for the unhindered signing of acts and other necessary documents," said Victoria Konkina, senior assistant to the head of the investigative department.

It is noted that at the time of the transfer of the amount, one of the suspects was detained by employees of the Economic security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Both are charged with commercial bribery. The court has already chosen a preventive measure and arrested the defendants until January 28, 2026.

The investigation establishes all the circumstances of the case.

Earlier, on December 9, it was reported that a criminal case had been opened against Denis Nikolaev, a judge of the Novgorod Region District Court, on suspicion of receiving a large-scale bribe. According to the investigation, in the period from April 12 to April 27, 2025, in the city of Veliky Novgorod, Nikolaev received a bribe in the amount of 500 thousand rubles.
