The extension of the family mortgage program to the entire secondary housing market will lead to higher prices and reduce the availability of real estate for citizens. On December 13, Deputy Finance Minister Ivana Chebeskova responded to the relevant parliamentary inquiry.

"Extending the program to the secondary housing market throughout the Russian Federation may lead to an increase in the volume of preferential mortgage loans, and, consequently, to a significant increase in demand. As a result, real estate prices may increase, which will reduce the availability of housing for citizens," RIA Novosti quotes a fragment of the document.
