Starting in 2026, the maximum amount of sick leave payments will exceed 207 thousand rubles per month. This was announced on December 13 by Svetlana Bessarab, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs (United Russia).

"Based on the requirements of the legislation, the minimum sick leave cannot be lower than the minimum wage. Its maximum amount from 2026 will be more than 207 thousand rubles per month," TASS quoted her as saying.
