On December 12, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, drew attention to this in her Telegram channel.

"According to statistics, it is the EU countries that are steadily increasing their costs. And what signals does Ursula send them and what does she punish them for?" asked Zakharova.

She noted that the reaction of the EC head reminded her of a joke.
