Cases of damage to structures and trees due to wind have been recorded in Moscow.
Wind gusts of up to 18 m/s were recorded in Moscow, as a result of which structures and trees were damaged. This was announced on December 12 in the metropolitan complex of urban economy.
"Wind gusts of up to 18 m/s were recorded in the capital. There are cases of structural damage. City services promptly repair wind-damaged trees and structures. Strong winds are accompanied by snow. Weather conditions may contribute to the formation of ice," the agency's Telegram channel says.
City services continue to continuously monitor the condition of the road network and carry out routine maintenance in accordance with weather conditions. Residents of the capital are asked to be careful on roads and sidewalks, not to park cars under trees and refrain from hiding under them.
Earlier, on December 11, the Hydrometeorological Center of the Russian Federation announced the introduction of a "yellow" weather hazard level due to ice and wind in Moscow. It was noted that the warning period is from 12:00 on December 12 to 0:00 on December 13.
