The European Union (EU) is confident in the legality of the use of Russia's frozen assets. This was announced on December 12 by Paula Pinho, the official representative of the European Commission (EC), at a briefing in Brussels.
"We can confirm from our side that, as we said earlier, we have put forward a proposal. We are confident in its legality," RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.
For example, Pinho commented on reports of a lawsuit filed by the Central Bank of Russia against a settlement and clearing company.
