- Mishustin supported the project to create a network of scientific infrastructure
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin supported the project to create a unified network of scientific infrastructure during the International Conference on Cooperation in the Field of Science and Technology on December 11.
"The creation of an international center for synchrotron, neutron and laser research is a very important function," he said.
According to the head of government, the international MegaScience class project was created on the basis of infrastructure solutions in order to create a unified system for scientific research in the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), where significant cooperation has existed for many years.
The Russian Prime Minister expressed confidence that by 2030 scientists will discover advanced solutions based on the built infrastructure base. He noted that researchers continue to work together on scientific issues, despite the sanctions imposed on the Russian Federation.
On November 28, Putin announced that the number of foreign scientific researchers in Russia is increasing. He noted that the increase in the number of graduate students from China was about 25-28%. In turn, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Valery Falkov, added that students from Kazakhstan are in second place, and from Syria are in third. He stressed that interest in Russian science as a whole is growing.
