An employee of the rehab in Maly Vidnom was arrested for two months

The Vidnovsky City Court arrested until February 3 an employee of the SeRTS rehabilitation center (Antonov PRO) in Maly Vidnoye, Moscow region, accused of kidnapping. This was reported to Izvestia on December 12 by the court's press service.

"Previously, he was treated at this rehabilitation center and began working as a volunteer, then [rehab owner Maxim] Antonov himself offered him to become a "fictitious" CEO," the source said.

Antonov, the owner of a network of private child centers and a blogger, was arrested on December 5, and he will also remain in custody until February 3. The man is accused of kidnapping a person by a group of persons by prior agreement, as well as unlawful imprisonment committed by a group of persons by prior agreement, using violence dangerous to life and health, using an object used as a weapon.

Antonov pleaded not guilty. According to him, no physical violence was used in rehab, and people with mental disorders testified against him. According to the blogger, the institution has received a large number of commendations, and many of its graduates have remained sober for years.

The court arrested two suspects, but nothing is known about the whereabouts of the clinic's owner, psychologist Anna Khobotova.

As reported on December 4, 30 people were subjected to violence and deprived of food and water at the Antonov PRO center. A local resident, whose sister was at the center, told law enforcement about the incident. After that, similar statements were received from three more citizens.

On the same day, eight employees of two rehabilitation centers in the Moscow region were detained in cases of illegal detention of guests.

At the end of November, a criminal case was opened in the Moscow suburb of Istra due to the torture and detention of teenagers with various addictions in an illegal rehabilitation center. The Istra District Court arrested Anna Khobotova, the organizer of the rehab in Dedovsk, Moscow region, until January 22.
