The Chairman of the PSB and the Governor of Sakhalin discussed the development of the region's infrastructure

Chairman of the PSB Petr Fradkov met with Governor of the Sakhalin Region Valery Limarenko during a working visit to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. The parties discussed the bank's participation in the development of the regional economy and the implementation of socially significant projects.

At a meeting with the regional government, representatives of the bank reviewed the prospects for projects based on public-private partnership. The delegation of the PSB and regional authorities also visited facilities under construction in the field of transport logistics, urban and road construction.

PSB has been operating in the Sakhalin Region since 2024 and is gradually increasing the volume of cooperation with the regional government, Fradkov noted. "We are building a serious foundation for long—term development in the transport and engineering infrastructure, housing and communal services, social and cultural spheres, sports, and the development of tourism potential," said the chairman of the PSB. In particular, according to him, the bank ensures the availability of modern financial instruments and solutions to residents and businesses in the region, as well as contributes to the sustainable growth of Sakhalin's industry, consistently expanding opportunities for economic growth throughout the region.
The bank became a partner of the international forum of unmanned vehicles "Wings of Sakhalin", which took place in September, Limarenko recalled. He also noted the participation of the PSB in sustainable development projects aimed at improving the environmental situation in the region.

In addition, the opening ceremony of a new athletics arena in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk was held as part of the visit. Petr Fradkov has been the head of the All-Russian Athletics Federation since the end of 2024.
