Ushakov allowed the deployment of the Russian Guard in Donbass instead of the army
There may be neither the Russian Army nor the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbass, while other Russian law enforcement agencies will continue to ensure order. This was stated on December 12 by Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov in an interview with the newspaper Kommersant.
"It is quite possible that there will be no troops there directly, neither Russian nor Ukrainian. Yes, but there will be the Rosgvardiya, there will be our police, there will be everything that is needed to maintain order and organize life," he said.
