Forecasters predicted a storm surge of seawater and coastal flooding in the area of Avacha Bay in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Locals are asked to be careful.

The water surge will begin on the evening of December 13th. The phenomenon will persist until about 02:00 on December 14. During this period, flooding of low-lying areas of the bay coast is likely. The KamchatkaMedia news agency writes about this.

The staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations warned about the possible occurrence of accidents and emergencies and difficulties in traffic due to overflow of sections of the roadway.
