Far-right and populist forces in the largest European countries are strengthening their positions, while the influence of the centrists is noticeably decreasing. The Politico newspaper writes about this on December 12.

"The center is no longer being held," analysts admit, pointing out that the "majority in the center" previously announced by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen turned out to be unstable.

It is noted that nationalists in France, Germany and the United Kingdom are leading in the polls, and support for the current leaders is falling to record lows.

In practice, even European conservatives are forced to rely on the voices of the far-right when voting in Brussels, the article says.

The Sweden Herald portal reported on December 6 that in Sweden, representatives of far-right groups marched through the streets of the capital. According to the newspaper, about 150 people with torches took to the streets.

In addition, in November, a nationalist march was held in Warsaw, which was attended by about 100,000 people on the occasion of Poland's Independence Day. It was clarified that the President of the country, Karol Navrotsky, took part in the march.
