About 25 companies are engaged in the development and production of robots in Moscow. This area is one of the most promising industries, noted the Mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, in his blog.

Moscow companies produce robots employed in industry, agriculture, warehouse and rescue operations, and other jobs, the mayor said. Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone (SEZ) plays an important role in the development of the robotics industry.

In May of this year, the Technored robocenter was opened in the SEZ. The company produces industrial robots, robotic systems and related software, the mayor said. By 2030, the resident plans to produce at least 25 thousand robots.

A network of technoparks has been created in the capital to scale production. They provide companies with modern infrastructure and access to support measures: tax breaks, grants, subsidies, as well as consultations and training programs.

Recently, at the Mosgormash Technopark, ROBOPRO has mastered the production of collaborative robots that are used to automate routine production tasks. It is planned to produce more than 1,000 pieces of equipment annually, and by 2030 — up to 5,000 robots per year. The food industries successfully use the developments of the companies Aripix Robotics, Bitrobotics and Nevlabs.

"The Moscow government offers developers a comprehensive support system that includes both financial and non-financial instruments," Sobyanin recalled. In particular, the Moscow Fund for Industry and Entrepreneurship Support compensates up to 50% of the Central Bank's key rate on investment loans worth up to 5 billion rubles, and the Moscow Guarantee Fund covers up to 70% of the loan. In addition, companies can receive a grant of up to 30 million rubles on the platform of the Moscow Innovation Cluster i.moscow.
