The level of trust in Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to a survey conducted between December 5-7 among 1.5 thousand Russians, was 78%. The relevant information was published on December 12 by the Public Opinion Foundation (POM).

"78% of Russians declared confidence in Vladimir Putin (plus 1 percentage point per week). Also, the majority of the population (80% — plus 2 percentage points) is confident that he is doing his job well as head of state," the foundation said in a statement.

The work of the government of the Russian Federation was also appreciated — 53% of the survey participants gave a positive reaction (plus 2 percentage points). 58% of respondents said that the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin was working well (plus 5 percentage points). At the same time, the level of support for the United Russia party was 41%.

In the FOM poll conducted from November 28 to November 30, Putin's support rating was 77%. 1.5 thousand Russian citizens also participated in it.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on October 24 that VTsIOM data, according to which Putin and the Russian military are trusted by the vast majority of Russians, are telling indicators. He noted that they are independently measured.
