Erich Solovyov, an expert on Marxism and the history of philosophy, has died.
Erich Solovyov, a Soviet and Russian philosopher and chief researcher at the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences, died at the age of 92. This was announced on December 11 by the press service of the Institute of Philosophy.
Solovyov worked at the Institute of Philosophy for over 55 years, researching Marxism, Kant's philosophy, the Reformation, and existentialism. During his career, he has published several books and hundreds of scientific articles.
"Erich Yurievich devoted his whole life to the service of philosophy, he worked diligently at the Institute of Philosophy from 1970 until the last days of his life. During this time, brilliant books were published <...> and more than one generation of intellectuals grew up on them," the institute's press service noted.
Colleagues expressed their condolences to the philosopher's family and friends.
