On New Year's Eve, there may be an insistent desire to take out a loan under various pretexts, but it is still better not to take rash loans. This was stated on December 12 by financial expert Tatiana Volkova in an interview with Gazeta.Ru».

"To the direct question "Is it worth taking out a loan for gifts?" I would like to answer categorically: no. This is a really risky move. But life rarely boils down to simple prohibitions. There are situations when it seems to a person that there is simply no choice: unforeseen expenses, lack of savings, the pressure of holidays," the expert noted.

The holiday atmosphere, business marketing campaigns, and feelings of guilt have an impact on emotions and can lead to rash actions. In such a situation, instead of getting a loan, it is worth conducting a "financial brainstorming session" and coming up with an alternative solution to the situation. For example, you can ask for a loan from relatives, sell unnecessary items, or find additional ways to earn money, if possible. As a compromise, instead of a loan, installments can be considered, which will help avoid overpayments.

"Sometimes the combination of these measures completely eliminates the need without having to contact the bank," said Volkova.

A day earlier, Evgenia Gankina, director of the Roskachestvo Organizational Development Department, advised Russians on a profitable way to extend the New Year holidays. She said that you can take a vacation from December 29 to December 30, which will allow you to rest for two weeks in a row, while spending only two vacation days.
