Moscow has not changed the recommendations for Russians when traveling to Venezuela

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not made any changes to the recommendations for citizens planning trips to Venezuela. This was announced on December 12 by Russian Ambassador to Caracas Sergey Melik-Baghdasarov.

"The Russian Foreign Ministry gives recommendations to citizens... there are no changes there at the moment. Everything is in normal mode," the diplomat told RIA Novosti.

He added that Russians should always check the recommendations section on the Foreign Ministry's website before purchasing air tickets.

Earlier, on September 1, the Russian side confirmed its full support and solidarity with the Venezuelan authorities in protecting national sovereignty and countering external pressure. The parties also discussed Caracas' measures to preserve internal stability against external threats and issues of bilateral cooperation. The meeting also touched upon the strengthening of the strategic partnership between Russia and Venezuela.
