The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) has allowed Russian Paralympians to participate in all federation competitions with the national flag and anthem. This was announced on December 11 on the FIS website after receiving the amended decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

"The FIS is obliged to allow the participation of athletes and support staff of Russian sports nationality who meet the AIN selection criteria in all FIS disciplines, and not only in qualifying competitions for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milano Cortina," the federation said in a statement.

FIS representatives noted that participation would be organized "under the same conditions as those recommended by the International Paralympic Committee, without applying the AIN framework."

Earlier, on December 10, it was reported that the FIS decision to allow only two Russian skiers to qualify for the Olympics was criticized as an attempt to split the Russian national team and the entire Russian sports community. Two-time Olympic ice hockey champion Vyacheslav Fetisov noted that allowing two athletes is "a real mockery" and unfair to other athletes.
