A new analysis by the WHO global expert committee on vaccine safety has shown that, based on the available data, there is no causal relationship between vaccines and autism spectrum disorders (ASD). This was announced on December 11 by the World Health Organization (WHO) website.

The Global Advisory Committee on Vaccine Safety (GACVS) has brought together international experts to provide independent and authoritative scientific advice to WHO on global priorities related to vaccine safety.

"The latest analysis, discussed by the Committee on November 27, 2025, primarily focused on the relationship between thiomersal-containing vaccines and RAS. Evidence based on 31 primary studies <...> including data from several countries strongly supports the safety of vaccines used in childhood and pregnancy and confirms the absence of a causal relationship with ASD," the publication says.

In addition, a recent large cohort study was conducted analyzing nationwide data from the registry of children born in Denmark between 1997 and 2018. In conclusion, the available results do not show a relationship between trace amounts of aluminum used in some vaccines and RAS, which confirms the continued use of vaccines with aluminum adjuvants.

It is noted that WHO advises all national authorities to rely on the latest scientific evidence and ensure that vaccine policy is based on the strongest available data.

Earlier in the day, Rospotrebnadzor reported that there is currently no official data confirming any circulation of the "new, super-aggressive, mutated influenza variant, immune to vaccination" strain A(H3N2). c. Studies have not revealed dangerous mutations. All studied variants of the virus are still sensitive to antiviral drugs and are correctly detected by test systems.
