A rally in support of priests detained in Armenia was held in Moscow.

More than 300 people came to the Armenian Embassy in Moscow for a rally in support of the clergy of the Armenian Apostolic Church and businessman Samvel Karapetyan, who were detained in the republic. This was reported on December 11 by Izvestia.

The protesters said that the actions of the Armenian authorities are splitting society, and demanded the immediate release of all those who are considered illegally detained. They stressed that the persecution of religious and business representatives is contrary to the laws and undermines national unity. The rally was held calmly, with posters calling for justice and the protection of human rights.

The organizers called on the international community to pay attention to the situation and help establish a dialogue between the authorities and society.
