Rescue operations have been completed in the Volgograd region after a gas explosion in a house.

Emergency rescue operations at the site of a gas explosion in an apartment building have been completed in the Volgograd region. This was reported on December 11 in the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

According to the agency, experts examined the building and decided that the residents of the two entrances can return to their apartments. The Ministry of Emergency Situations clarified that the third entrance was hit the hardest, so its residents are temporarily housed in a temporary accommodation facility.

Representatives of the emergency services noted that further detailed examination of the damaged entrance will continue in the morning.

"The inspection of the damaged entrance will continue in the morning by the regional services," the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
