US President Donald Trump uses a Band-Aid on his right wrist due to the large number of handshakes he does daily at meetings. This was announced on December 11 by the press secretary of the head of state Caroline Leavitt at the White House.

She explained that Trump holds many non-public meetings, and constant handshakes cause skin irritation and bruises.

"The Oval Office is like Grand Central Station. He [Trump] meets with a lot of people every day that you don't even know about," Leavitt said.

She also noted that the leader of the United States takes aspirin, which "may contribute to bruising."

Earlier, on November 13, it was reported that Trump reappeared in public with a thick layer of foundation on his hand. Then the media noticed that during the signing of the law on temporary expenses, he tried to partially hide his right hand, which caused a discussion on social networks.
