- The Journey to Christmas Festival presented the children of its participants with an ice show with stars
The children of the participants of the special military operation (SVO) and their families in Moscow were shown an ice show with the participation of figure skating stars. The event, which took place on December 11 at Revolution Square, became part of the program to support the families of defenders of the Fatherland within the framework of the Journey to Christmas festival, which starts on December 12, and the Winter in Moscow project.
More than five hundred children of the participants watched the show, the organizers said. The audience was greeted with tea and pastries. In the final, each child received a personal sweet New Year's gift.
The show was prepared by the team of Olympic champion, two-time world champion, three-time European champion and three-time Russian champion Tatiana Navka and Four Continents Cup winner, figure skater and choreographer Peter Chernyshev. Olympic silver medalists Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov, two-time Olympic silver medalists Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov, as well as Olympic champion Anna Shcherbakova took to the ice.
As part of the Journey to Christmas festival and the Winter in Moscow project, residents of the capital will be able to see more than 170 ice performances at various venues. The team of Navka and Chernyshev will present a series of fairy-tale shows: "The Nutcracker", "Masha and the Bear", "The Secret of the land of musical Dreams", "Swan Lake", "Twelve Months" and "December 32". The figure skaters of the team of two-time Olympic champion Evgeny Plushenko, including European champions Yulia Lipnitskaya and Alyona Kostornaya, will also show their "Swan Lake".
