The Council of the European Union (EU) has approved the allocation of the sixth tranche of the association's €2.3 billion macro-financial assistance to Ukraine. This was announced on December 11 in a statement published on the website of the Council of the EU.

"Ukraine will soon receive about €2.3 billion in funding after the Council decided on the sixth regular allocation of support under the EU Fund for Ukraine. <...> This funding is primarily aimed at strengthening Ukraine's macro—financial stability and supporting the functioning of its public administration," the statement said.
