More than 91 million users downloaded the VK Video app in 2025

The VK Video app was downloaded more than 91 million times in 2025, and its daily audience reached 40 million users in December. This was announced on December 11 by the VK press service.

"The growth is due to an increase in the volume of content and the number of authors. The number of authors has doubled and reached 331,000 people," the company's press service noted.

According to Mediascope, the platform has become the leader in Russia in terms of daily and monthly audience. The most popular categories were humor, movies and TV series, news and politics, children's and family content, as well as cars and transport.

Nikolay Duksin, VK's vice president for music and video services, said that recommendation algorithms remain a key area of development, which have already increased the accuracy of video selection by 60%. He stressed that users expect instant access to personalized content, which ensures the growth of the platform.
