The Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs announced the holding of about 32 thousand exhibitions in 2025

The Commission of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) on the media industry and Entrepreneurship in the information sphere and the Commission on Exhibition and Congress Activities held a joint meeting on the issues of law enforcement and key challenges in congress and exhibition activities and their media support. The event on December 11 was held under the leadership of Alexey Goreslavsky, Chairman of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs' Commission on the Media Industry, Director General of the IRI.

At the beginning of the meeting, he noted that by the end of 2023-2024, the corporate events industry in the Russian Federation has not only returned to the volumes it was before the pandemic, but has formed new industry trends and shown steady growth.

This year, about 32 thousand exhibitions were held, the total volume of the corporate events market amounted to 130 billion rubles. About 70% of companies have increased their activity compared to 2023. One of the new trends is chamber events for up to 100 people, who are appreciated for effective networking.

"The business component is coming to the fore: the entertainment component is minimized in favor of meaningful content. At the same time, there is a reduction in the preparation time for events and an increase in the number of offline events for highly specialized specialists. <...> To optimize processes, companies are actively implementing artificial intelligence tools for the preparation and conduct of events," Goreslavsky said.

Anton Tsetsinovsky, Director of International Cooperation and Development at the Russian Export Center, said that since 2022, 3.7 thousand Russian companies have participated in more than 170 events in 35 countries, which are combined with the promotion of Russian culture. The volume of export contracts concluded by them exceeded $1 billion 115 million.

"In its pure form, congress and exhibition activities to promote the image of Russia are only part of the work, and the second part is the joint work of the exhibition and congress commission with all our committees, be it the tax committee, the committee on customs trade policy. We have many events and forums, and it would be right to carry out systematization work, to have a register of these events in order to understand where they have their own niches, where they intersect," said Alexander Shokhin, head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
