Forecasters warned of frosty weather in Moscow

On the weekend of December 13 and 14, Muscovites will have frosty weather. In addition, it will be cloudy on both days. Yandex Weather forecasters told Izvestia about this on December 12.

Frosty and cloudy weather is expected during the day on Saturday, December 13. The wind is north-westerly, with gusts up to 14 m/s. In the morning, the temperature will be -5 degrees, in the afternoon and evening it will remain at the same level, and at night it will drop to -6 degrees.

"In the cities of the Moscow region, such as Odintsovo, Podolsk, Lyubertsy, Vidnoye and Domodedovo, daytime temperatures will be close to Moscow, about -5 degrees, and weather conditions will remain similar to those in the capital," forecasters said.

Sunday, December 14th, will also be cloudy and frosty. The wind is westerly and northwesterly, with gusts up to 9 m/s. In the morning, the temperature will be – 7 degrees, in the afternoon it will rise to -6 degrees, in the evening it will return to -7 degrees and at night it will drop to -8 degrees. In the Moscow region, the temperature background is expected to be at the Moscow level, in some places 1-2 degrees lower.

Up to 4 cm of snow may fall by Saturday.

On December 9, the first frosts were recorded in the capital. Negative temperatures were also observed throughout the Moscow region, and Kashira became the coldest point in the region, where the minimum temperature was -2.1 degrees.
