The Russian Ambassador announced Laos' intention to continue receiving its fighters for treatment.

Laos intends to continue receiving Russian military personnel who participated in the Special Military operation zone (SVO) for treatment. This was announced to Izvestia on December 11 by Russian Ambassador to Laos Sergey Hardy.

"This is not the first group of SVO fighters who are here for rehabilitation. These are small groups. The Lao side says it is ready to receive our fighters further. We are extremely grateful to them for this, for such a kind and humane attitude, which is based on our friendly ties," he said.

Earlier in the day, Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu noted that Russia appreciates Laos' continued solidarity on fundamentally international issues. According to him, Laos' assistance in the rehabilitation of wounded Russian soldiers is of particular importance to the Russian Federation.

Shoigu is on a visit to Laos from December 10 to December 12.
