An ex-employee of the prosecutor's office was arrested in Samara for a banned football movement.

A former employee of the regional prosecutor's office has been taken into custody in Samara, who is being investigated for his participation in the extremist organization of football fans, The Opposition Young Supporters (T.O.Y.S., recognized as extremist and banned in Russia). This was reported on December 11 by RIA Novosti with reference to law enforcement agencies.

According to the agency's interlocutor, the court appointed a preventive measure for the man in the form of detention until December 27. The criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
