The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is ready to develop legislation on elections, but their conduct requires security guarantees from Western partners. This was announced on December 11 by Alexander Kornienko, First Deputy Chairman of the Parliament.
"If there is a need for us to provide a legislative framework, we will provide it. But it is clear that without the security framework that the partners, that is, the United States and our European colleagues, must provide, it is very difficult to do this without a security framework," the Ukrainian newspaper quoted him as saying.Страна.иа ".
According to him, there are currently no ready-made draft laws in the parliament on elections under martial law. Their development will require a broad discussion involving the Government and civil society.
