The Warsaw prosecutor's office called the punishment facing archaeologist Butyagin
Alexander Butyagin, a Russian archaeologist and employee of the Hermitage Museum, who was detained in Poland at the request of Ukraine, faces from 1 to 10 years in prison under Polish law. This was reported to Izvestia on December 11 by the representative of the Warsaw District Prosecutor's Office, Peter Skiba.
"The act of which the Ukrainian prosecutor's office accuses the detained Russian citizen corresponds to the crime provided for in Article 125 §1 of the Polish Criminal Code and punishable by imprisonment from 1 to 10 years," he said.
